Your Situation

Pointe de Floride to central Le Havre

The sea-cruise complex at Pointe de Floride has three dedicated quays/terminals. Official tourism publishes 2.5 km to the city centre or station and confirms a terminal–city shuttle plus a taxi rank.

  • Cruise shuttle: follow signs at your terminal and confirm the current city stop, fare and last return before paying. Those operational details are not published on the current official page. Allow roughly 15–35 minutes including terminal walking and a normal wait.
  • Walk: about 35–45 minutes to central Le Havre for a fit passenger without heavy bags; use the signed port exit and a live pedestrian route. Construction can alter the gate.
  • Taxi: SCA Radio Taxi’s tourism listing gives an indicative €10 price for 1–4 passengers between the cruise hub and either Le Volcan or the station. The listing labels its tariffs indicative; confirm the price with the driver before boarding.

For a useful local visit, start at Le Volcan / Hôtel de Ville, then walk the UNESCO rebuilt centre toward St Joseph’s church and the seafront. Save the shuttle/taxi return point before exploring.

Getting There

Railway station and local transit

Terminal → station

With luggage, use the terminal taxi rank. SCA Radio Taxi’s tourism listing gives an indicative €10 Pôle croisière–Gare price for 1–4 people. The listing labels its tariffs indicative, so confirm the price with the driver before boarding. Walking is 2.5 km; allow 35–45 minutes. The cruise city shuttle may be useful only if its current stop is confirmed near the station.

Station → centre

From Gares, use tram A or B in the direction shown via Hôtel de Ville and alight there, or walk roughly 15–20 minutes. Until 13 September 2026, construction replaces this central tram section with Ligne Plage from the Gares stop at the corner of Rue Magellan; normal tram service is announced to resume 14 September.

A LiA 1-hour ticket costs €1.80, permits transfers/return within one hour and must be validated at every boarding. Buy before boarding via M-ticket, a machine/retailer, or eligible SMS; onboard bus sales are suspended.

Port Day

Paris as a long port-day journey

  1. Take a taxi from the cruise terminal to Le Havre station; allow terminal queue and a station margin.
  2. Board the reserved NOMAD Krono+ train to Paris Saint-Lazare. Paris-bound NOMAD Résa trains require a reservation.
  3. Alight at Paris Saint-Lazare, then use the Paris mode appropriate to the sights. The Eiffel Tower/Louvre are not at the station.
  4. Return from Paris Saint-Lazare on the specifically reserved Le Havre train, then taxi from Le Havre station to Pointe de Floride and name the ship/terminal.

SNCF publishes about 2 hours 05 minutes train time outside works and advance fares from €17, capacity-limited. Allow 2½–3¼ hours terminal-to-Paris each way before Paris-local travel. That leaves much less sightseeing time than a Le Havre visit and magnifies disruption risk; book a return with more than one later workable train before all-aboard.

Your Situation

Charles de Gaulle Airport in both directions

Ship → CDG by rail

  1. Taxi to Le Havre station.
  2. Take the reserved NOMAD train to Paris Saint-Lazare.
  3. Follow signs through the connected pedestrian passages toward Haussmann Saint-Lazare, take RER E one stop to Magenta, then follow signs to Gare du Nord.
  4. Take RER B toward Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV; alight at CDG 1 or CDG 2 for the airline terminal.

CDG → ship

Take RER B toward Paris to Gare du Nord, follow signs to Magenta, RER E to Haussmann Saint-Lazare, walk to Paris Saint-Lazare, then the reserved NOMAD train to Le Havre and taxi to the ship terminal.

The 2026 Paris-region airport ticket is €14 and covers the connected RER/rail journey for two hours without exiting the network; buy on a Navigo Easy pass or compatible phone. The Le Havre train is separate. Allow roughly 4–5½ hours terminal–CDG with normal waits, Paris station walking/transfers and the port taxi, before airline processing. This is luggage-heavy; a direct pre-booked road transfer can be simpler but no official fixed fare was found.

Accessibility

Return to ship, luggage and accessibility

  • From city: return to the exact shuttle stop saved on arrival and verify the ship/terminal, or take a taxi to Pointe de Floride.
  • From station: SCA Radio Taxi lists an indicative €10 shuttle price for 1–4 people; tell the driver the ship/terminal and confirm the price before boarding.
  • From Paris: reserved train to Le Havre, then taxi. Keep the 2.5 km final port leg in the schedule and confirm the taxi price before boarding.
  • From CDG: RER B, RER E/connected Saint-Lazare walk, reserved NOMAD train, then taxi with the price confirmed before boarding.

The 2.5 km terminal separation makes walking with suitcases burdensome. LiA offers accessible services and SNCF has station assistance, but no source certifies the entire quay–vehicle–station–train chain or current construction route as step-free. Arrange cruise-line and rail assistance in advance.

Key Decision

Terminal works and operational cautions

Pointe de Floride’s cruise hub is being modernised, with new terminals and shore-power works. Official sources confirm the three-quay complex and construction, but a project description does not establish a passenger gate for a particular ship.

Use the same-day terminal signs for the pedestrian exit, shuttle and taxi rank. Do not follow directions for Le Havre’s separate river-cruise quay at Quai de Marseille/Quai des Antilles.

What to Confirm

What to recheck on the day

  • Exact Pointe de Floride terminal and any construction-altered exit.
  • Cruise-shuttle fare, current stops and last return; the official page confirms service but does not publish these details.
  • SCA Radio Taxi’s indicative €10 price for 1–4 and the actual price quoted before each outward or return boarding.
  • LiA’s central tram replacement through 13 September and normal service from 14 September.
  • Reserved NOMAD train, live disruption status and a workable return margin.

The 2.5 km distance, SCA’s indicative €10 taxi-shuttle listing, €1.80 LiA fare, published 2:05 Paris rail time/from-€17 offer and €14 CDG ticket were checked 9 September 2026. Total ranges include stated walks, waits and transfers and are planning estimates.
