Getting There
Choose the quay and city route
Ocean Quay / Oceankaj
- Follow terminal signs to Oceankaj; the official bus stop is at Terminal 1. From Terminals 2–3, allow extra quay walking and use the signed pedestrian route.
- On ship-call days, board bus 25 to Orientkaj St.; the published ship-call pattern is every 10–20 minutes until one hour before the last ship departs. Year-round, board 164 toward Ballerup St. and alight at Orientkaj.
- At Orientkaj, take M4 toward København Syd; alight at Kongens Nytorv.
Official guidance publishes about 20 minutes for the transport chain. For passenger planning, allow 25–45 minutes total including quay walking and a normal wait. Fare: 24 DKK for a valid two-zone ticket.
Langelinie
- Walk about 5 minutes from the public terminal exit to Indiakaj.
- Take bus 27 toward Østerport St. and alight there.
- Take M4 toward København Syd and alight at Kongens Nytorv.
The operator publishes about 15 minutes for this chain; allow 20–35 minutes total with the walk and a normal wait. Fare: 24 DKK.
Nordre Toldbod
This is the central case. Walk to Amalienborg/Nyhavn when the saved public-exit route suits you, or walk about 14 minutes to Marmorkirken. Take M4 toward København Syd one stop to Kongens Nytorv. Allow 20–35 minutes total including the walk and a normal wait; transit is 24 DKK.

Your Situation
Copenhagen Airport in both directions
Ocean Quay → airport
- Take bus 25 or year-round 164 to Orientkaj.
- Take M4 toward København Syd; change at Kongens Nytorv.
- Take M2 toward Copenhagen Airport and alight at Københavns Lufthavn.
The official route is approximately 40 minutes; allow 45–65 minutes total for quay walking, a normal bus/Metro wait, transfer and rides. A three-zone ticket costs 30 DKK.
Airport → Ocean Quay
Take M2 toward Vanløse to Kongens Nytorv, change to M4 toward Orientkaj, then take 25 or 164 toward Oceankaj. Confirm the ship terminal before leaving the bus.
Langelinie or Nordre Toldbod
For Langelinie, walk to Østerport (about 15 minutes), take M4 toward København Syd to Kongens Nytorv and change to M2 toward the airport. For Nordre Toldbod, start with the roughly 14-minute walk to Marmorkirken, then take M4 toward København Syd to Kongens Nytorv and M2. Reverse those steps from the airport using M4 toward Orientkaj. Official guidance gives approximately 35 minutes; allow 40–60 minutes total with the walks, waits and transfer. Fare: 30 DKK.

Getting There
Tickets and lower-handling taxi estimates
Buy a ticket in the Rejsebillet app before boarding, or at a ticket machine at selected stations and the airport. One ticket covers bus, Metro and train within its zones and time limit. The lowest adult ticket is 24 DKK (two zones); the official cruise routes use 30 DKK for the airport (three zones).
Published daytime weekday taxi planning figures are approximately 175 DKK Ocean Quay–Kongens Nytorv, 96 DKK Langelinie–Kongens Nytorv and 116 DKK Nordre Toldbod–Central Station. Airport estimates are about 450–550 DKK from Ocean Quay per CMP and about 270 DKK from Langelinie / 232 DKK from Nordre Toldbod in the visitor guide. These are dated planning figures, not fixed fares; traffic, time and tariff change the total.
Port Day
Return to the ship, luggage and access
City → ship
- Ocean Quay: from Kongens Nytorv take M4 toward Orientkaj; transfer to bus 25 or 164 toward Oceankaj. Bus 25 is tied to ship calls, so keep 164/taxi as the fallback and leave before the final ship-call departures.
- Langelinie: take M4 toward Orientkaj to Østerport, then board bus 27 with Færgeterminal Søndre Frihavn on the display. Alight at the signed Indiakaj stop and walk back to the saved ship entrance.
- Nordre Toldbod: return to Marmorkirken and follow the saved 14-minute public walking route, or use a licensed taxi to the exact quay.
Two suitcases make the bus–Metro transfer and quay walk more work; a taxi removes transfers. Metro and station lifts do not certify a step-free gangway-to-platform route. Ask the cruise line for pier assistance and allow security/all-aboard time.
