Identify the maritime station

The official port map shows Maritime Stations 1–6 across a long working harbour. Save the station and public exit from ship instructions.

Road access has changed during waterfront works; the signed route on the day overrides an old map screenshot.

Getting There

Port to central Palma

  1. From a station 1–4 public exit, walk to 26-Port – Estació Marítima; allow roughly 5–15 minutes depending on the station/exit.
  2. Board EMT line 1 with Sindicat on the display.
  3. Alight at 6-Sindicat – Àrea d’intercanvi Sindicat. For the Cathedral/old centre, continue roughly 700–900 m/10–15 minutes on foot.

The current urban/port onboard fare is €2. Pay cash (maximum change €10) or tap an accepted debit/credit card at the validator; the ticket does not include a transfer. Line 1’s published full route takes about 40 minutes, so allow 35–60 minutes total to Sindicat for terminal walking, a normal wait and the ride.

Getting There

Taxi and payment

Use a signed rank. The current official tariff page lists a €2.50 weekday-day flagfall or €2.85 nights/holidays, then €1.20/€1.35 per km, plus one €4.65 port or airport supplement. Luggage is free, cards are accepted and a receipt must be available. Waiting/traffic charges can apply, so no fixed port–centre total is claimed.

For an outer station or two suitcases, a taxi often avoids a long port walk. Give the driver the exact maritime station for the return.

Your Situation

Palma Airport in both directions

Airport → stations 1–4

  1. Outside Arrivals, board EMT A1 toward Palma Centre; alight at Plaça d’Espanya / Intermodal area.
  2. Walk to the signed line 1 city stop and board line 1 toward Dic de l’Oest.
  3. Alight at 15-Portopí – Estacions Marítimes 1, 2, 3 i 4, then walk to the saved public cruise entrance.

Pay €5 on A1 and €2 on line 1: separate onboard tickets, €7 total. Allow roughly 60–90 minutes including walking, waits, interchange and rides.

Ending your cruise: port → airport

  1. Board line 1 at 26-Port – Estació Marítima with Sindicat on the display.
  2. Alight for Plaça d’Espanya, follow signs to A1, then board A1 toward Aeroport.
  3. Alight at the airport passenger terminal and allow airline check-in/security time.

For stations 5–6/outer berths, use the live planner only if a safe public first leg is shown; otherwise take a ship shuttle or taxi.

Port Day

Central Palma return to ship

  1. At 6-Sindicat, board line 1 with Dic de l’Oest on the display.
  2. For stations 1–4, alight at 15-Portopí – Estacions Marítimes 1, 2, 3 i 4.
  3. Retrace the saved route to the correct station and allow port security/gangway time.

Outer-station passengers should follow the ship’s return shuttle or use a taxi to their exact station. Do not rely on “Port of Palma” as a sufficient destination.

Accessibility

Luggage and mobility

  • The line 1 route adds terminal walking and a city walk; a taxi is simpler with two suitcases.
  • The Intermodal Station at Plaça d’Espanya is open broadly from 05:30 to 01:30 and has luggage storage, but storage is not needed merely to change buses.
  • Ask the cruise line about gangway/outer-berth assistance; public-stop accessibility does not certify the port path.

What to Confirm

What to recheck

  • Exact maritime station and whether ship transport is supplied.
  • Line 1/A1 stop changes, displayed direction and current fares.
  • Port construction access notices and permitted walking route.
  • Taxi total: the tariff components are published, but traffic/distance determine the final meter.
